7. International Transfers

Some of our service providers, including cloud, analytics, advertising and technical-support providers, may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.

Where this occurs, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional measures where required.

You may contact us for further information about the destination and safeguards relevant to your information.

8. How Long We Retain Personal Data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, safety and dispute-resolution needs.

Orders and accounting

We normally retain invoices, sales records, payment records and associated accounting information for six years from the end of the relevant financial year. We may keep particular records longer for a tax enquiry, dispute, warranty, product-safety matter or legal claim.

Customer accounts

We retain an active account while it remains in use. We review and normally delete or anonymise inactive accounts after five years. We may close or delete an online account on request, but may retain transaction, accounting, payment, warranty, product-safety, traceability, debt, dispute and legal records where required or otherwise lawfully necessary.

Enquiries and correspondence

We normally retain general enquiry and correspondence records for up to three years after the last meaningful contact, unless they become part of an order, complaint, dispute or legal record that requires longer retention.

Marketing

We retain newsletter subscription information until you unsubscribe, object or withdraw consent. We may then retain limited suppression information so we can honour your opt-out.

Website and security data

We retain website, analytics and security records only for as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose. Cookie and similar-technology durations are described in the relevant cookie information and consent controls.

9. Marketing Communications

Marketing may include product news, stock information, offers and other updates relevant to radiators and heating products. Where consent is required — including for individual consumers and electronic marketing to individual subscribers — we send marketing only after a valid opt-in. Where the law permits business-to-business marketing on a legitimate-interests basis, we still provide a clear and easy way to opt out.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at sales@theradiatorshop.uk. We may retain a minimal suppression record after an opt-out. If email open or click activity is measured, it is used only where legally permitted and subject to the relevant consent choices.

10. Cookies and Website Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure our website. These do not require consent, but we provide information about their use.

We use analytics, functionality and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Ads where configured, only where you have provided consent through our cookie consent controls. Non-essential technologies must not be placed before that consent.

You can accept, reject or change your choices through Cookie Settings. The cookie information shown with those controls describes the relevant names, providers, purposes, categories and durations.

11. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. These include access controls, account authentication, software maintenance, backups and encryption where appropriate, together with procedures for managing access and incidents.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for contacting us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account use.

12. Your Rights

Your rights depend on the circumstances and lawful basis. They may be subject to legal conditions, exemptions and identity checks.

Access

You may ask for confirmation that we process your personal data and request a copy of it, together with related information.

Correction

You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal data or complete information that is incomplete.

Erasure

You may ask us to erase your personal data in certain circumstances. This right does not apply where we need to retain information to comply with a legal obligation, establish or defend legal claims, or for another lawful reason.

Restriction

You may ask us to limit how we use your personal data in certain circumstances, including while we consider a challenge to its accuracy or our lawful basis.

Data portability

Where processing is automated and based on consent or contract, you may be entitled to receive personal data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or ask us to transmit it to another controller where technically feasible.

Withdraw consent

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully and does not affect processing based on another lawful basis.

To exercise a right, email sales@theradiatorshop.uk. We normally respond within one month. We do not usually charge a fee, although the law permits a reasonable fee or refusal in limited circumstances.

13. Automated Decision-Making

We do not currently make decisions about customers based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We may use automated tools to support website analytics, account security or fraud detection, but a person can review decisions that materially affect an order or account.

14. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through our ordering process. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
